    KE question!

Can someone please help me out here!I am trying to figure out my kinetic energy!I am shooting a 395gr. arrow at 210fps. I also shot a different arrow that weighs 403gr. at 196fps!I know this aint blazing fast but should be more than enough to hunt anything here in Texas just about dont ya'll think? Thanks for the help! This is from a compound just I have a 25" draw weight and am only pulling 58#s!My bow is whisper quiet and its hitting the target pretty hard!

    395gr at 210 fps=38.69
    403gr at 196 fps=34.39

      The formula is velocity X velocity X speed / 450240 = KE

      395gr @ 210fps = 38.6 Ft lbs KE

      403gr @ 196fps = 34.3 Ft lbs KE

Not much difference in the two and if your bow is quiter and shooting better with the heavier arrow, then rooll with it... I prefer a heavier arrow for those same reason!!!

Basic KE formula is half of mass times the square root of velocity or weight times square root of velocity divided by 2 times gravity (32.2). A double check because I never trust everything on the internet. Unless of course it is from the green screen.
