how would you rate this 8 point?

This is an 8 point I got a photo while he was checking out a scrape on my folks property. The land I have to hunt is only 40 acres and about 15 acres of that is wooded. I know he is not a huge buck but pretty nice for an Okie buck. lol anyways let me know what you think.

I would say he's around 3.5yrs. Maybe 4. Still a very nice buck.

I agree that he is probably 3 years old and will probably get better if he lives.

Do you shoot him? Well it all depends doesn't it. If you are on public land, day hunt, have never killed one, a lease where you have lots of others who shoot everything they see, etc....then yes.

If you own the property or have a lease where you are trying to manage it for quality....then let him walk.

3.5 maybe 120. fun to look at and plan for the future of his demise.

Looks good to me. Like stated above he would get better if he had another year but on a small place you have to know the pressure around you.
