    Non Typical Thoughts

This deer has stated to make a regular appearance at the feeder. Wondering what he would score or if he is even legal. These images make it difficult to tell for sure.

I think unique bucks like that are really cool. I might give him another year however, see what he does.

He is fully mature so I wouldn't even consider waiting another year if I were you. He won't score huge because of lack of tine and beam length but he's got a lot of them. It wouldn't surprise me if he hits in the 150's. Great unique trophy!

I think he is 3.5 and I would give him another year if it was me.

Have you seen him in hard horns in proior years. The colorization of his antlers looks almost like he may have nuetered himself, or his boys never dropped. I have seen 2 in the wild, and several taxi'd. They tend to have a lighter greyish tone, as this one does. To answer your question, I think he is legal, and I would take him this year if you wanted to. Score ???????

I think he could be a catcus buck like T droptine says. He seems to be hanging with other bucks which is odd for a buck who has lost his nuts but his coat looks still reddish and shaggy compared to the other buck in the photo who is starting to get that slicker gray winter look to his coat. I got him around 150"?? but hard to tell.

                          I agree with these guys.

If he's still in velvet, opening day, I bet he's nuttless ... I'd shoot him first chance I got.

But I'm silly like that ... I LOVES them freaks!

Not to hijack the thread, but how would you preserve the velvet to get him to the taxi if you shot him?
