    first kill with bow, but couldnt find it:(

    i was hunting over a feeder at night and i had about 7 or 8 hogs at the feeder. i shot at the closest one to me(25 yards). but i made a bad shot and hit way back. he bled good for about 50 yards and then i would get a few drops here and there, but eventually the trail just stopped......the next morning on my way out i saw buzzards flying over the area i shot it at......

    Do not count it as your first bow kill if you did not find it, that way when you get your first it will be a thrill and something you will remember for a long time. Sorry about the loss of the first piggie, but it sometimes happens.

      Learn from your mistake. Next time stay calm, breathe, and wait for the right shot.

        If you make a less than perfect shot, give him a little more time before you start trailing. I'd wait at least 30 minutes anyway, but maybe give him an hour if the shot was not what I wanted.

          i know its hard to wait after a shot to me thats the hardest part about bow hunting but you need to wait at least 45 min unless you see him die in sights and it never hurts to let him lay longer. the more time the better

              Hogs are tough to kill. I have shot 2 with a bow and later killed them with a gun. You could see where the arrow went through them. Got to shoot low on them.

                That aint no joke. I have seen one been hit by a truck, land in the bar ditch then get up and run off.

                  Well, if you follow the green screen, then you know it can't be your first kill because without LDP's, Then It didn't happen.

                    Anyway, sorry you were not able t recover your hog. As you can see, everyone knows how tough those suckers are.
