    X2!

I had a two pack of S2 cameras act buggy with memory cards, out of the box. I called and got a return authorization number and asked if I could swing by at lunch and drop them off (BA Products in Grand Prairie). They said sure, so I dropped them off. I had two brand new cameras on my porch within 7 days. They are on the lease right now, makin' memories (along with a couple of the new IR2s and an IR4.)

I don't understand what you are saying. I know that there are alot higher priced units out there and there are much lower priced units out there. I am simply upset that I bought a $200 camera, used it for one week then stored it and now I had to spend an additional $25 to have a refubished camera. I just can't understand why some of you think I am out of line for being upset.

I am simply saying that since you stated will not buy Bushnell anymore, that you will not be happy with the money it costs you to get a better manufacturer if an extra $25 is an issue with you.

Secondly...nobody thinks you are out of line but ALL game cameras in that price range are a crap shoot. Some return 4 or 5 before they get a good one. It's the cost of being able to use an electronic piece of equipment subject to the elements outdoors. BTW...Refurb is not really what you are getting....you are not getting somebody else's problem that has been rebuilt, cleaned up and sold to you. You are getting your camera with an updated part. Heck I'd rather have that if they took a bad part and replaced it with an updated better part versus getting a camera off the shelf that has been sitting there with possibly the same issue.

That being said, I have been told twice I am getting a fixed camera only to open the box and get a new one.

Had the same thing with a pair of Costa del Mars as well....

        Good luck...

          10$

i'd be a little upset but for 10 bucks shipping you are going to have a brand new cam with a new warranty. hopefully you get a good one this time.

Sorry for your troubles with the camera. I have 2 Wildgame Innovations that need work as we speak. Bought 3 photocell feeder motors a few years ago and 1 of them didn't work right out of the box. If any product was really good they wouldn't need to have a warranty program. People build stuff and stuff breaks, made in the USA don't even make it wonderful anymore.

They are not sending me a new camera. They have supposidly "re-alligned" it (whatever that means?) Plus I am out almost $25 because I had to pay to ship it both ways. It was $14.57 to ship it to them with insurance. The $10 money order was for the return shipping.

I had a pair of binos from them for 2 years and then I ran over them. I called them to see about getting them repaired, but the repair cost out weighed the price of the binos(50 bux). They ended up selling me a 140 dollar set of binos for 58 bux + 10 dollars shipping.

Same thing happened with mine. I sent it in and the 10 dollars but they wanted 130.00 to fix my camera. They sent it back to me the same way i sent it to them. The thing did not work right for two months.

I had a problem with mine and the module was not even listed on their site. I paid the $10.00 and got a new camera and the newer module. I thought that was pretty good, got the camera back within 6 days. Got mine out at the lease taking photos, trying to go out their this weekend to pick up the shots to see what is coming in.

For some reason I don't think the $25 is the issue here. I'm pretty sure that it is the fact that Bushnell supposedly warrants their product but then charges you to fix their screwup. Its like buying a new truck and the reverse not working in it so the dealership puts a new tranny in and charges you for labor. Just something about it doesnt sit right with me either. I'm also betting that had the camera been in the field for two years working flawlessly that this thread would have never been started in the first place.

I may get slammed for this, but this is why I don't deal with these company's customer service. I simply go back to Academy and buy a brand new camera. Then I put the old camera in the package and take it back to Academy with my receipt for a refund. I make sure to tell Academy that the camera doesn't work so it isn't passed on to another customer. I let Academy deal with them since they have a lot more leverage.
