Computer Virus Protection ?

What do the computer gurus on the green screen recommend for virus protection. I have had Norton in the past, but want everyone's opinion. Thanks

We use AVG Protetion you can get it free or you can buy the professional version. We've used it for as long as I can remember.

Vipre (yes spelled Vipre) by Sunbelt. It's better than Norton, AVG and others. I have all my office and home computers running Vipre. One license and you can put in on all your computers a home. Same for the office, one license.

Microsoft Security Essentials if you're using Windows. Its free and I've been impressed on what it has stopped. I've tried McAfee, Norton, AVG, and others. You download it from the Microsoft website.

go to downsloads.com and search for 'virus' in Windows downloads. You can see what most of the downsloads have been, gives you an idea of what's going on with lots of users. AVG is good.

I've had norton, macaffe and avg free. Avg IMO was better than those but finally after 3 years got hit with a virus or malware which shut down my internet unless it went to their site to purchase their product. Seen them before but never clicked on their warnings. This one popped up without a click (had to do a complete restore). Now I use Trend Micro Internet Security Pro. Around $80 for 3 pc's and im really happy with it so far.

Kasperskies, works real well. But then again so did the free AVG.
