    Elk Hunt

Applied for a Colorado elk tag and found out in June we didn't get drawn , was a sad day since I have always wanted to go on an elk hunt, of course back in the day with a rifle but now I wanna do it with a bow. Not long after that I found out I have a small tear on my right shoulder cup muscle, this creates a problem pulling my bow back. Then I get a call three weeks ago from my buddy, some how he pulled off two land owner vouchers for us and we get the whole ranch to ourselves. It's amazing how a call like that made me follow the doctors orders in medicine and exercises. Then I go to get my bow checked and I have string issues and I went ahead and put a new rest and sting on my DXT. So now that I have a new set up, I have not been able to practice as much as I want in order not to over work my shoulder. I am good shooting out to 50yds but have only shot maybe 60 arrows since, I am off tomorrow to Denver season opens Saturday hope I bring back some meat, will have an elk bbq in SA for my fellow tbhers!!!

            Good luck to you.

The average Colorado archery elk is 28 yards so you should be plenty good.
