    Who retires arrows?

No, i dont mean the ones that are over 65...i mean the ones that mean something to you. I have retired 3[and my wife thinks i am crazy]. One is the first hog i killed, one...the largest hog i killed[it is hanging over the mount of him]...and one hangs under a 10 point buck i killed with it[my largest with a bow]..I made oak plaques to hang them on and left the broadheads on them[i used a file to dull them]...anyone else as "crazy " as i am?.......Shoe

yes, on special kills. Otherwise I just put a tally on them and keep killing. (provided they are still straight)

I used to save the arrow and the broadhead from every kill ... that got expensive, quick.
Now, they get retired when they break. Same for broadheads.

When I say retired, I mean thrown in the trash!

I have a home for retired arrows. Ill see if I can find a pic. Weve got a strech of fence with atleast 500 arrows in it. It looks really cool from the road.

not one to tell a man his business, but please be careful. arrows are much cheaper than hospital bills.

I kept my first bow-killed deer(doe) and my first bow-killed pig. They have a prominent place in my hunting room(spare bedroom/junkroom).

I've only retired one arrow and that was cause it broke off when the deer ran. It was my first and only buck to date with archery equipment.

I have retired a few special ones. The others I just mark on the fletching what and when it killed something. Got one with three deer on it.

Not until they break. Once I get some good Mojo on an arrow, I like to see how many kills I can get with it before it breaks.
