    Prank call or not??? WARNING!

odd as this is, my wife this morning got a call on her cell phone which she did not answer because of work, the number on call ID was 999-999-9999
so she called me to see if I reconized the number in which I dont ,I pulled the number on the net and was shocked as it was listed as the NUMBER OF DEATH . I have seen on tv in the news,
people getting calls like this on their cell . I responded by calling the cell carrier in which they say they have not heard of this so they tried to call the number back while I waited they got a tone and a message saying that the number is not valid '' go figure "
just a caution to all watch those incoming calls

That NPA-NXX is not registered to any carrier:

      Output for NPA-NXX 999 999
NPA NXX CLLI City, ST Telco

Probably just a sales call and number that they display to keep you from calling them back.

Don's right. When I used to work for a survey research company, our phones would at least display something so that people would see a number and and be more inclined to answer it.

We used to have the caller ID changed all the time to reflect different things depending on the type of survey they were calling on.
