    Arrow question

I used to shoot goldtip 7595s but started having a hard time finding new ones. So I switched to Beman ICS hunter 300s. Now I'm having difficulties finding the Bemans in that spine. I really believe that most arrow brands are pretty good, and thought when I switched to Bemans I was getting a popular brand that would be readily available. Everywhere I go looking for arrows, I'm told,"just tell me what you want and I'll order it for you." I'm tired of looking through hundreds of arrows on display only to find the ones I need are not in stock. What brand arrows would I find that is normally stocked in the stiff spine?
Also, although my bow is tuned for the Bemans, it shoots the Goldtips I had left over as well. Everything I've ever been taught about tuning and shooting bows screams "don't shoot different brands!" But on the other hand, if it works, why not? Any opinions? Thoughts? Traumatic stories?

I am still shooting GT 75/95 XT's and have been getting them online at www.archeryexperts.com. They have a good price on them too.

As far as different arrows go, if they are landing in the same spot with broadheads at the furthest distance you plan to hunt- then why not?

Tuthdocs "getting ready" thread is a good example of this.

My experience with archery shops is that not too many carry the 300 spine but do have plenty of the 340's which I believe is the equivilant to the 7595's you were using. Of course as you say they can always be ordered. Shops just don't like to keep an inventory of items that don't sell on a regular basis. I just don't know alot of people that shoot that stiff of spine. You may have to order them which usually takes a week.

you can find the CE Maximas just about anywhere you go, they are a bit pricey but well worth it in my opinion. I just switched to them from GT XT 5575 & 7595 and like them better. I am shooting the Maxima Hunter 350's at 28.5 out of my outback set at 75 @ 290 fps.

I'll second the Maximas. I shot bemans when I first went to carbon and they're a good arrow. I shot 340's and later 300's, as my DOA wanted STIFF arrows. I then went to Vapor 4000's and then 5000's and they are good arrows and very economical. However, since switching to Maximas a couple years ago, I've found the arrow for me. It shoot very well. It's very durable. It's the only arrow that I've gotten that I didn't have to play with cutting on both ends to get the best spinners, and these aren't even the top of the line Maximas. I'll second the Maximas. They also allow me to shoot a stiff arrow without a lot of weight. My 28 inchers with 100 grain tips and Blazers weigh 370 grains and shoot 298 at 62 lbs.
