Need help from TBH computer techs again

I recently had some trojans/viruses attack my computer. I installed Malwarebytes which was successful in detecting and removing the infected files. However, I am still having issues with IE. Random websites will pop up and when I google something and click on the link it takes me to a totally different website. What program do you suggest to remedy this situation?

My wife picked up that same one from Facebook. Only program that I found to kill it was Hitman Pro 3.5. Had to run it in safe mode first, then normal mode. Just to be sure I then ran Eusing registry cleaner, spybot and malware bytes. It's nasty and it sucks. Good luck to you.

make sure you update java as well. I had the same problem and something like "mysearchcorp..." kept redirecting me. I did all that was instructed above and as soon as I updated java, all was good.

There is something going around. I am no IT person but the wife downloaded Desktop Sercurity 2010 by my mistake, I am laying around and she asks me, "is it safe to?".

To make a long story short, it looks very similar to a windows logo, Norton removed about 30%, Avast removed about 60%, and CCR cleaned the rest of it up.

Maybe one of the real techs on here will steer you right. Hope this helps.

Hitman Pro found a rootkit which seems to have been the culprit. I'm running spybot next for safe measure. Thanks again gentlemen.

Firefox or Chrome with appropriate security settings can save you from many of these headaches. It really boggles my mind why anyone would use Internet Explorer Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera... all good browsers, all much safer than IE.
