    Price for Mowing Pasture

Just wondering what anyone thinks a fair price would be to mow approximately forty acres of pasture.

Ask the landowner if you can hunt the property if there is anything to hunt.

Depends on your equipment. My dad is getting $50 an acre for shredding lots in the metroplex and he is using a 6' mower. At the prison we have 10' shredders and it takes all day for one tractor to cover 40 acres.

Property is located in Houston County ten miles outside of Crockett. A fifteen foot shredder would knock it out quick. I can't see it taking any longer than a day.

To much goat weed and trash in it to sell for hay Raider ranch . I had it leased out for cattle to a family friend for years. We have cut the lease and intend to plant it in trees. The individuals that leased it from me did not maintain the pasture like they should have. Especially for the dirt cheap price per acre they paid. I would like to get a brush hog to it before we plant.

With my bat wing I would be right there with the others $300-$400 depending on how thick= ground speed

I appreciate the replies. If anyone is interested in doing this just post some contact info and I can contact you to iron out details. Property is ten miles from Crockett, TX. I am trying to get it done within the next couple of weeks. It is not thick at all. Hasn't been mowed in about a year.
