If you are diligent in putting it out, it works! It has a kind of fruity smell that coons love. I learned from others here that you can take little brown paper bags like you take a lunch to school or work in, and fill them up. Staple them to trees up off the ground a bit. The coons will think they are stealing something and attack the bags... Also have a couple bait stations out with 5 gallon buckets screwed to big limbs on trees... fill the bucket, put the lid securely on, then cut a hole in the bottom side of the bucket so the coons will have to dig the pellets out ... we went from 10 to 15 coons at once on trail cam pics at every feeder to 1 to 2 coons in all feeders total in about 3 to 4 weeks...

For the record I have not used monkey chow....and I don't remember suggesting it.... I suggested better cages or trapping w/ banana moon pies.... That being said if monkey chow saved my 1200 lbs of corn a month, I wouldn't hesitate to use it.
