Is it just were we are at or is everyone else getting tons of TC pics in the middle of the day?

Over the past 2 weeks the majority of mine have been between 11 am and 3 pm...whats up with that?

Me too. I am also seeing LOTS of deer while riding around from 1pm to 4pm

I saw 8 deer off of a main highway about 40yrds at 5pm and it was 106 in the truck and they were at a water hole drinking. It was odd to see em that early watering here

Got to be food and/or water. Other than sex, there's no other reason for them to be up and about in this heat.

Lots of them are does with kiddos.....you can count every rib on them. Best part is alot of them are hanging out under a bowstand

They are hittn our feeder hard right now. Its so hot they just need to move to feel cooler?

haven't checked, but look at the moon phase and see where it is at. Also, if there is water near you camera/feeder, they are probably coming to that with this heat.

I have does standing in line waiting for me to put out protein and alafala each monday and thursday at the ranch I work on just west of Rio Medina. I pull up there with tractor and dump five and half fifty lb bags of mummy's protein in feeder then back up tractor with 500 gal water tank on trailer to fill water trought and put alafala in feeder. The whole time I am whistling. The does have come to know my whistle and will stand around 10-20yds away waiting for me to finish putting out the feed. The 275 lbs will be gone in 2 days ..I have seen these deer lay down under the trees by the feeder .....Andy

They are getting ready for hunting season, they are working on their tan so when they disappear and start showing up only at night they will still look good!

Another thing about this place there isn,t any cattle on it and hasn't been any for about 7 yrs now so deer and wildlife have it made there. Up around the house and shop area there is a pet doe that comes out every day around 11-12:30 and brings her two fawns to drink in the stock tank there and eat alafala from the feeder I have hung in the tree. So with this dry heat thats why seeing so many deer on the move if water source is not near food source........Andy
