Pulling SD Card on trail cam?

Just set my feeder and trail cam up, I know, a little late in the game. Trying to figure out when I should go and pull the SD card and see if any deer or showing up, I was thinking a month from now sounds about right...but is that too close to Oct. 2nd to worry about spooking anything off that may be coming in and out?

I tried to remain scent free today, but failed miserably since it's about 1500 yards from where I can park my truck at to where I put the feeder and the terrain is rough to say the least. I had to carry the feeder and 320 pounds of corn from the truck to the feeder....talk about a sweaty mess! I'm sure I won't be that sweaty if I go to pull the card, but I'm still worried about scaring anything off.

I hunt locally--within 10 miles of the house, so I go once per week to pull the cards and check for traffic. Can't tell it keeps anything away either.

I went back, the next weekend, & had 200+ pics. Most of them were the same doe's. I also had a couple pics of a boar hog.

How long does human scent hang around then when you were sweating your butt off and had sweat dripping off of ya like a leaky faucet? I figured that alone would keep most things away for a couple of days...looks like I'll be making a trip up there in a couple of weeks to check. Thanks for the info, gents.

I don't know how long the scent stays around, but this describes me every time that I go outside this time of year.
