    Feeder Pens

Just put up some good tight three strand barbwire pens around my feeders. Kind of worried about the cows getting to my feeders! Yall think that all my feeders are gonna be tore down when i go back to the lease or what?

I'm sure you could find someone to come out and shoot the cows for you with their bow! I know I went there...

As long as you attached the wire to Tposts and/or trees you will be fine. There's only one occasion I've seen barbed wire not work. I once hunted with a guy - who didn't know better- who used those light duty U-posts on a feed pen. It caused a huge mess. The cows were able to bend the posts over to the ground and walk right over it. Best we could tell, one of them then got tangled in the wire and took off running in a panic. The wire came off the rest of the posts and pulled the feeder over, dragging it halfway across the pasture. The rancher found the cow wrapped up in yards of wire and all tore up. He was not happy.

i have about 7 feeder pens all made out of 3 strands of barbwire and i dont have a problem with my 300 yearlings as long as you put stays inbetween the post.
