    iMovie question

Ok, I want to record a long video for youtube. So....I recorded one on my iPhone 4 (about 5 minutes long) and tried to upload it to youtube and it compressed it and then it didn't upload it. I guess the file was too large.

My question is: if I record the video using iMovie instead of just the phone recording it, will it work that way? I've seen HD videos from the iPhone 4 on youtube and there's no way they're sending them straight from the phone because when the videos send to anywhere (youtube, email, MMS) they compress and become slightly pixelated. The best quality comes from emailing them and the poorest comes from MMS (horrible quality).

I need two 5 minute videos. Any suggestions??? I don't want to dig through my storage for my Sony Cybershot digital camera and my iPhone 4 has a MUCH better focus on it and better video IMO, its supposed to be 720p HD.

Don't know about the quality but Imovie will still compress i I believe. I have made a few movies with it but not really sure about the specifics

Import the movie from your phone into the mac and iMovie. Once its processed there is an option to export the video with different sizes and formats. YouTube supports some pretty large size videos, don't remember offhand, but I have uploaded a couple hundred meg of real estate stuff in one video.

When you export it, reduce the size and it should upload fine...
