My favorite book to read every year. Made for great reading in the stand Saturday morning.


I got drawn 3 times last year. Hope I get that lucky this year, but probably not since I'm now out of preference points on those three catigories.

How do y'all like the new mule deer categories? Pretty cool. I also noticed they didn't include Devils Sinkhole this year. Wonder why? Maybe it's been over hunted.

I noticed that too Bzzboy. I liked that area, saw alot of gaem wehn I last hunted there. That was going to be one of my picks this year.

They also dropped Kickapoo Caverns archery hunt this year. Both of those units are run by the same guy.

Since you are obviously smarter than I am and found this to begin with(I have been all over the TPWD site), do you happen to have the 2006-2007 statistics that have all of the in-depth stat stuff for all of the hunts???? They call it "Summary of 200x-200x Public Hunts by Special Permit Statistics"

They don't have them complied yet in spreadsheet format on their website yet. The only thing you can go by at this point is what they show as their success rates on the hunt info itself.
