    Spider ID please

    Found it in my backyard. Looks to be pretty good size.

          we call them shotgun pattern tester spiders..

            those are actually good spiders....catch a grasshopper and throw it into the web...losta of fun...

                I actually thought to do that with a smaller spider to see its reaction. A grasshopper will work, there are plenty right now.

                    I call em nanner spiders. I have a couple out back that i feed all the time. Just catch some bugs and toss them in the web. Pretty cool to watch and mine have doubled in sixe from my feedings!

                        Same kind as the one we have behind the house. I've always called them garden spiders....Harmless or not, I wouldn't want it crawling on me! Eeeeek!

                            It is a Golden Orb Weaver. We also called them banana spiders. beautiful creature, hell of a hunter too!!! Opportunistic hunter that is.
