    Matthews DXT

I now am looking at a two year old DXT. I have no experience with these at all. Were there any issues with them at all? I really like the smaller size, but it also scares me that they might be a little unforgiving.

    Thanks!

As with any used bow, or used anything else, you can always be buying someone else's troubles, but the DXT is a fantastic bow. Don't let it's small size fool you, it packs a wallop and is very smooth, and very forgiving. It will drive tacks if you're good enough to do so. I owned one once upon a time and I loved it. I sold it, and the new owner loves it maybe more than I did.

Some people argue that the DXT is the best bow Mathews ever put out.

Have a DXT, I bought a Z7 because of the hype but went back to shooting the DXT. Nothing wrong with the Z7, but I feel the DXT shoots better!

The DXT is the best bow ever made! I loved it so much I had to rebuy it after I sold it the first time.. The grass IS NOT greener than the DXT..

I have a new Reezen 6.5 and don't get me wrong, it is a really nice bow. Then the shop I frequent had an 08 DXT on the shelf that someone had layed-away, shoot it in the shop while paying on it and then never came back for it. I got it for a great price and unfortunately haven't picked up the Reezen much since buying the DXT. Very smooth as compared to the Reezen and I think the shortness will be a plus shooting out of a tree. You won't regret the DXT, especially if it was taken care of by the previous owner. Buy it if the price is right.

It is 600 with a trophy ridge drop away, matthews quiver, 10 gold tips, string stopper, and stabilizer, is this a fair price? Its an 08.

yes.. You can find bare bows for $500-$550 so I'd say your right in the ball park with all those accessories..

I bought my used (<1 yr) DXT last year for about that bare bow.
                          LOVE IT!!!

was practicing the other night (hate to admitt but first time in several months due to hectic schedule) and was putting down 1.5" groups at 30 yard!!

It sounds fair to me as long as the bow is in good condition. Check the string and cables, if they need to be replaced then you could probably do better. I think I paid $425 for mine with the same rest, had to replace the cable and add everything else.

Sounds like a fair deal to me, but I agree with checking the strings, they can get expensive, a great bow , I have had one for a couple of years.
