Yep...I have my share of glocks but if I didn't and was starting out $249 is a freaking steal! They aren't bad guns...but just like everything else there are better ones out there imo...

i just did this to mine and there is a considerable differance

You can youtube search for sigma trigger. Basically there is a pigtail spring in the rear trigger assembly that does nothing but increase the tension of the trigger pull. It serves no other function, and its often referred to as a lawsuit spring; because, the theory is Glock made them add it after winning the lawsuit. I've also read that LE agencies requested it for a heavier trigger, the real reason may be neither. Removing it and lightly polishing the trigger surfaces is supposed to equal a smooth 5.5-6 pound trigger in a gun that goes bang everytime.

I know its an inexpensive gun, but with several hundred rounds through mine I have yet to have so much as a hiccup out of it. Its accurate and goes bang everytime, not sure what else you could want for the price.

Of note there are two different version of this weapon. One is the SW40/9 and the other is the SW40/9VE. The second one is an "enhanced" version that had some bugs worked out there were present in the first generation. The trigger is still heavy in the VE but not as bad as the originals.

not a fan - definitely worth a couple hundred more to get an M&P, XD, or Glock.

Just make sure you do the trigger mod not the striker mod. Some people have switched out the striker spring to lessen trigger pull, which can work, but results in weaker strikes on the primers. The trigger mod, changes ONLY the trigger weight and nothing else.

It's an ok gun for the money.

I would probably buy one to use as a truck gun but not sure I would carry it as a SD weapon.
