    Bow speed question...

Simple question for some of you guru's. Can you tell me what the realistic speed from these two bows would be? Arrow is an Axis 340, Blazer vanes, and 100 gr. point.

    Monster 6, 28", 70#

    Monster 7, 28", 70#

    Thanks.

Can't put a number on it but I will say it will be plenty fast for anything

You can't really put a speed on one due to your bow being rigged out. (rest, sights etc.) When you see these bow on tv some guy is shooting the bow without any of this stuff. When the makers say they shoot over three hundred feet per sec this is how they shoot them. I would go to your bow shop and have it cronoed your bow and then you would know for sure.

Around 313 fps for the Monster 6 and 305 for the Monster 7

I haven't had the opportunity to test any Monsters yet, but I know some guys here are shooting them.
          Where are they?

Nice. That is the kind of answer I am looking for (although I still appreciate all input).

Anyone else want to agree or disagree?

              Chance,

I have no input on speed as I haven't actually Chronoed mine, but my 27" 80lb Monster 7 is very smooth and comfortable to shoot.

I enjoyed the smoother draw of the 7 over the 6.

With the 1" BH difference there should only be about a 5-8 fps difference. To give you an estaminet we need to know the wt of the arrow or at least the length. But you will for sure be well over 300fps (my guese would be 310 or so with the 7.0 and 315 or so with the 6.0). My Reezen 7.0 29" draw shoot 302 fps with a 30" 400 grain arrow.

                    chance

here are the numbers I came up with , they should be somewhat close +/- a few fps

                    M6 .... 310 fps

                    M7 .... 301 fps

These #'s should be very close. If you try several different bows you might find a 6" that may hit 315 and a 7" that may hit 305. Having shot them both I would go with the 7"

                      Night and day difference
