    Distance to nocking point?

Is there a standard distance (measurement) to be used to determine how far above the shelf your nocking point should be? I am having issues with my QAD rest on my GT500. The launcher is hitting the shelf when it's in the down position. I am wondering if my nocking point should be move up some so that the rest can also be adjusted not to hit the shelf?

Also, has anyone ever had any clearance problems with the QAD and blazers?

I've run into this issue before and I moved my QAD rest to level with the top of the berger hole. Then just adjust your knocking point up to level your arrow. With the GT500 a true "center shot" may require your knocking point to be 1/8" to 3/16" higher.

That should allow your rest to fall without coming in contact with the shelf.

So, is the rest still level? Or did you have to tilt the rest in order to get it to line up this way?

Most (if not) all of the time the nocking point is placed either where a line at a 90 degree angle from the string goes through the center of the berger button (the threaded hole in the bow's riser) or a small distance above that. Then you start tuning from that point.

If you're aligning it with the shelf on the bow, the nocking point is too low that would explain why your rest is hitting the shelf. Try raising the nocking point to there, and adjust the rest so when in the up position the arrow is aligned with the hole and see how it works.
