i got the new D-55ir from the sportsman guide for 89.99 and the camera is the easiest camera we own all you do is turn it on and walk away you dont have to push any buttons. and takes very good night and day pics

I looked at one at walmart yesterday... looks jsut like the D40 but is 5.0pixels or whatever the picture quality work is

Im a believer in the D40... have 10 of them in Mexico and haven't had any problems with them yet...been 2 years I think.
