I replaced 3 of them about a month ago - nothing to it. The screws are really, really small (like the size of the screws in eyeglasses). Also, I now put tape over the inside of the camera to prevent sunlight from hitting the display. this might be a myth but I've heard it will make them last longer. Can't tell you how great it is to know what settings my camera is on, to know that the date is right, and to know my battery level

We were told about putting the tape on it also. It does not help. The answer is do not tighten down the screw on the cover real tight. What happens is it presses against the display if you tighten it real tight.

So changing this part does what exactly? My problem was that my pictures were blurry or wouldnt' even take at all? I could literally hunt pigs eating at my feeder for over an hour and never get a pic...or just one or two the whole time. (and yes I have the settings right and fresh batteries)

I actually changed mine out last night on my I-60 without any instructions at all.

It is very very simple. Just a couple of smaller screwdrivers is all it took.

Just watch how it comes apart and put it right back together the same way.

              10 minute deal tops.

You may want to take a small set of pliers or forcepts in case you drop a screw down into the housing but even that is a stretch. It wasn't hard.

I already have a reply back, that only took about 15 min or so. Here is the reply...
                    "Sending 1 display/instructions"

Yeah... this won't help you there...this replaces the LED display on the front of the camera b/c it goes out after a few months to 18 months. Does not affect trigger speed, blurriness, or malfunctioning camera.

I just sent an e-mail telling them I had 4 go out. I'm not sure if they took my word or if they saw I had that many registered, but they did not ask for any info. Took about 1 week to get them in.

This is a myth also. I completely took out the plastic screen and filed down the nubs it's connects to so no part of the display touches anything other than the four posts it has to touch and they still go out. I have six I 40's and 1 I 60 and I have replaced all of them once and some twice and I now need 4 more displays to fix them again.

I spoke to a Moultrie Rep at the Hunting Show yesterday. He told me that the problem was a defect in the LCD, it is not about the sun or over tightening the face cover. He claims that the new LCD being mailed out are a different LCD and should not fail. We'll see.

I just replaced four displays in mine. The displays have different part number on them. All you need is a very small philips screwdriver. And maybe some tweezers if you have big fingers. If anyone plans on doing the swap in the field, take a big towel with you to work on, so that you don't lose the screws.
