the wait continues

year before last, my son killed his first deer and first buck. He shot a nice hill country 7 point. Heck, the first 3 buck I ever killed didnt add up to 7 points!! Anyway, I caped the head and put the head in the freezer. well, with work and other things that came up, i never took the head to the taxi. Then, my boy said he wanted a euro mount of his buck. COOL!! I was gonna do it, but found a taxi that would do it for $100 using bugs. Sweet! Well, that was in june. He said it would take about a month to do it with bugs. I said that would be fine as long as it was done before Aug 8 (my boys birthday)



My dad went by the taxi yesterday and they cant find my sons head! They have the paper work, but no head. They said they were gonna check to see if it was still in the bug bed... where ever that is.

I hope the head is there and I hope I am mad for nothin. If it was something I killed, i wouldnt mind as much. Yeah, I'd be upset, but $#!^ happends, right? But this was my sons first!

I'm really hopin they find it. I'm more worried than mad right now. Mad will come after I find out they cant find it. But, it wont do ant good to get mad, its still lost. UUURRRRR, I hate this!

Really, I mean, how do you replace something like that? Have any of yall had this happen? what was the outcome? what did your taxi do? Did he try to make it right?
