Best shoes for tubing?

That's fine when you are actually FLOATING. But years like last summer at the Frio it was mostly WALKING the river...

I wear Crocs if I'm going to be anywhere near water. They're ugly as heak but I don't care what others think

I wear crocs and cinch them up as tight as they'll go around the heel. I had the occasional rock get in but so did my wife with her aqua-sock type shoes.

I wear crocs also never had an issue, my second choice would be an old pair of tennis shoes. Especially on the frio where it gets shallow and you have to walk alot.

Chacos for us, they also offer enough support to do some light hiking in. I wear them fishing offshore and on the flats if my plantar fasciitis is acting up. If you wear them out you can send them in and have them rebuilt. All the cool kids in the mountains and on the rivers wear them all summer.

I always thought tubing was when a boat pulled you around while you were laying on the tube 🤔🧐 And going down a river on a tube was called floating. But I would have on my old PFG fishing shoes floating the river .

I love my Vibram 5 fingers! They look different! When I first got them for a christmas present last year I thought, "no way I'm going to wear these things." I put them on once and have loved them ever since. Once they get dirty you just throw them in the wash. Do NOT run them through the dryer!

I bought a pair of Speedo water shoes last year at Costco that work great. They lace up so they aren't coming off, the soles provide good traction but have holes in them so the water drains out.
