    Black Eyed Peas

anybody feed black eyed peas in their feeders? i've heard of some people feeding black eyed peas and they have a little more protein than corn and also cheaper..we've mixed it in with corn in two feeders and they seem to be eating it the same as corn.

They are higher than protein but I serioously doubt you can find them cheaper than corn.

If you'll do a search this was talked about a month or so back.

I know several folks who mix peas with their corn, but I don't know anybody that gets them cheaper than regular corn.

We are trying Record Rack Golden Deer Nuggets this year instead of corn, time will tell if it works as good as everybody has told me it does.

I read something about feeding black eye peas while looking up about horn corn. But it would be a little too expensive to add them in with the corn to be enough.

bill was saying they have soy bean corn mix for like 10.50 a sack at the feed store..i think we can get some peas from breckenridge..but i talked to michael bryant and he said he'll try to find some so he can pre-mix it with corn for me

I have been trying to find a mix around the houston area that will work out of a spin feeder

I'm feeding split black eye peas. They're $6.50 per 50lb sack at Gorman Feed Mill. Corn is $5.55 per 50lb sack.

Just started throwing them a few weeks ago, they go through the spin feeder no problem. We'll see how well they're cleaning it up this weekend.
