    Recommend a pole saw

I am looking to pick one up for the ranch. Hoping it will save my back and allow me to cut cedars at ground level...not to mention it will keep me out of the snakes. Anyone have one the would or wouldnt recommend?

    Stihl?
    Echo?
    Husq?

I really like my Corona pole saw. Tele scoping handle. At first I thought the blade was cheesy but it holds up well and cuts better than expected. The lopper part works well also.

Non telescoping- Husqvarna. Telescoping- whichever you can get cheaper between Echo & Stihl, they are both good.

Honestly for the money...Ryobi. I have the weedeater, cultivator, edger, combo thing. It works pretty well.

If it were me, I would buy the Stihl, they have proven themselves to me... I have several of their products and they last... I have a weedeater that I bought 20 years ago and I still use it today, the only thing I have ever done was replace the pull rope once and the spark plug once... Chainsaw is 9 years old and have never worked on it and it will start up on second pull everytime and this saw was used commercially for the first four years of it's life...

I have a Stihl FS85 I bought over 10 yrs ago with the chain saw attachment head. It is the cat's meow never a problem and beats the heck out of carrying a ladder around.

Stihl is all we use on the farm. We have 3, two big and one small. Buy the biggest one your budget will allow, you will be using it along time. One of ours is over 10 years old.

                  Good luck

                      allow me...

What's the difference between Bob Barker and Lorena Bobbitt?

Bob Barker is a slick pricer.

                      ba-dum-bing!.... hey!

                          Stihl or Echo.

I own stihl and it is amazing how big of branches/trees it can cut through. Just keep the blade sharp.

Stihl or Echo, but pick it up and hold it before you buy it. Make sure of the weight, they get real heavy real fast.

I'm gonna take Echo out of my previous recommendation. I had some trouble w/mine about 4 mo. ago. Replaced plug, filter(fuel & air), & put new gas in. Now it's doing the same thing it did 4 mo. ago & won't run. I used to own a tree trimming & removal business & I used Stihl & Husqvarna. Had very little trouble w/the Stihl's & NO trouble w/the Husqvarna's.
