    Schwacker broadheads

Who else is looking at these broadheads? Thoughts and opinions?

These are the old Sonoran Broadhead, so do a search for the Swacker or Sonoran and it should pull up quiet a few threads.

Never seen 'em. I don't like the way they look based on the fact there is no cutting surface for the first inch or more.

Don't question them until you try them. These have been around for a long time under the Sonoran brand name and believe me they work very well. There are a lot of mechanicals out there that have a blade design like this. I used these heads for quiet a few years with excellent results. The cut a massive hole both going and coming out. They will push the hide in a little and actaully cut a larger hole than advertised, first hand knowledge. I have no idea how many animals I have killed with these, but it is a bunch. the only drawback i see to them is the allen screw used to hold the blades in the ferrule was hard to get out at times. The allen screw part of it would strip out, seemed to be a little too soft on the metal of the screw. Blades were extremely sharp and very tough and I do not remember breaking or loosing a blade after being shot. The only reason i do not use them anymore is I tinker and like to try new things and that includes BH's. I would not hesitate to go back to using these again.
