Intruder Kicks In Door, Gets Shot
SAN ANTONIO -- An intruder was shot by a man moments after he kicked in the door of an apartment Wednesday morning on the city's Northwest Side.
Police said a man had been harassing and manhandling a woman in the parking lot of the Ingram Square Apartments in the 5900 block of Flynn Drive at 8 a.m. when some apartment residents started yelling at the man to stop.
The man then ran up some stairs and kicked in the door to a unit, police said.
Seconds later, an apartment resident shot the man once in the upper body, police said.
The intruder was taken to University Hospital in an unknown condition. The woman was shaken up but otherwise OK, police said.
No charges were expected to be filed against the man who shot the intruder, police said.
