I need some help on a spray for outside and inside my house to kill spiders. Over the years I've sprayed Demon and it seemed to do the trick. Apparently the spiders have become immune to that chemical because I spray and spray and I will still kill a spider every night. I used to get tired of listening to wife complain about it but now I'm tired of it myself. Ideas please?

I stated using ortho home defence and it worked, but outside the rain seemed to wash it away. Now I too use demon and have not have any issues its been 3 months since i sprayed last and have not had a single bug in the house, outside is another issue... -

If I am not mistaken spiders are not effected by residual poison left. Something about have and external skelton system. I have alway been told you had to spay directly on spiders for it to be effective. ???Comment

Yep, can't kill spiders very easily with insecticides....they don't pick up the chemical like another insects......I would try Texas A/M google for killing spiders...Comment

From what I understand, spiders are one of the most difficult pests to control chemically. That being said, be diligent with your tempo or try rotating Cyonara in every other application. That bunch of cyhalothrins are the bomb digityComment

Should be able to find Tempo at your local feed store and no, you don't need a license. Did the trick at my house but it's probably about time to reapply....especially after that rain last night!Comment

If you see the spider you want to kill spray it with starter fluid. It is about $2 per can and it kills them. It will also kill wasps.
I wanted to kill a black widow this weekend without destroying it so I could show it to my boys. It ran into a hole. I sprayed it and it flopped for a minute and fell out.Comment

Spiders are kinda tough to get with juss bug spray...they're not cleaning themselves all that much like you see roaches or crickets do with their legs or antenna'. Gassing them with a fogger is what works if they're in da house.
