    Prayers Please

We should all be praying for the flood victums of north Texas, So far there has been several deaths a lot of people that are no home less and some have lost everthing.

Make's me sad. A young 4 year old named Ally lost her life when the flood waters took her from her mother. There life's are changed for ever.

Thing's like this make me understand just how blessed I really am.

Prayers sent to all the people that have been affected by this tragady....<><

Bad deal over in Gainesville. My father-in-law had to be rescued this a.m. House was flooded knee deep inside. Water over the hood of his 03 Chevy PU and over the roof of his 98 Olds. Picked 'em both up and banged em around on junk too.

He can't get around good and had to have 2 guys carry him off the porch to safety. I took him back over there around noon, once the water had dropped some. So... he sat in the truck while I went in to try to salvage his medicine, some legal papers, and whatever clothes were hanging in the closet or in a top/upper dresser drawer.

He hasn't spoken w/insurance yet, but he don't think he has "flood insurance". Either way, he is still lucky to have made it out. I've since heard that there were some who were not as lucky. One of my wife's employee's had some family members swept off by water. 2 young girls and their grandmother, I believe. I heard they found 1 child (don't know if she was alive) and are still looking for the remaining two. I'm not real sure how accurate that account is. Just what I heard.

Prayers sent for all involved or affected...........

I live across the creek from the Skyline Mobile Home Park in a housing addition that is not affected by the creek.

I was awaken by the helicopters at 2:30 AM. It was non stop until about noon. THe creek runs behind a friends house and he said he could here the people yelling for help. He said it was horrifying.

I feel for these people. I can tell you that if the housing addition I live in would have been flooded last March, that creek would have been cleared of all of the trees and trash.

Maybe now it will be done.

I am going to talk to the Ciy Manager who lives across the street. I know he does not want his house under water.

May God bless that little girl and her family.
