Canyon Lake Activities

What things are there do around Canyon Lake besides fishing? The people up there are not into fishing at all and I'll get into trouble if I just run off and fish all the time.
But on a side note, I will be fishing some and any tips on fishing that lake would be helpfull. We will have access to a boat.

It depends on what you are looking for-Gruene for some good grub and live music (two Tons of Steel every Tuesday is pretty good), toobing down the river, Natural Bridge Wildlife park is pretty cool. I haven't fished it in years so no help there.
