    Tracer nock/FOC question

I'm wondering what these lighted nocks will do to my accuracy since they add about 30gr. to the back of the arrow. Should I switch to a 125gr. braoadhead? longer arrow? I'm a little concerned about KE/penetration and such. Anybody have any experience or suggestions on how to set up? I'm shooting a: - Carbon Express Maxima 350 (8.9gpi)
    - 29.125" arrow from insert to nock groove
    - 4" feathers
    - 67# w/ 29"dl

Also, I'm at about 260fps w/out Tracers. How much speed can I expect to lose by adding 30gr.? Thanks a bunch--

I saw Biggen last night and he just started shooting tracers. He said it didnt make any difference. He is shooting 125 grain Axis 340's.

You should be alright with the FOC. If you are useing the new Hunters, you should still be alright with KE and/or penitration. I built mine based on useing Luminocks. I shoot a 26" 250 Maxima shaft @ 65-68 lbs with a 28" draw. I could use a 28" and there would not be enough difference to notice except in shaft spine. Then I would step up to the 350s. I also use a 100 gr head, the new ultra light incerts from CX that come with the Maxima s (8.5 grains), and 2" Blazers. I shot the old Luminocks which weighted 29 grains before the new ones were produced. The new Luminocks weigh 22 grains.

As a basic rule of thumb, try for 10-15% FOC.

If you see your arrows "kicking" slightly left when released, I would lighten the poundage by a couple of pounds or go with a lighter head. If it kicks right then increase the poundage or head weight.

      Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll leave everything as is until I shoot and see what develops. I'm still learning how to set-up and not change too many things at once. It just seems out of whack and too heavy. I can't seem to make the FOC% come out the way I want to. I've looked at several different ways to calculate this FOC and now my brain is fried. I think I need a barley break! For what it's worth, I'm shooting an arrow(Maxima 350,wrap, blazers, bull dog collar) that is 30 7/8" long from broadhead-tip(100gr.muzzy) to nock groove. Center of the arrow is 15 7/16", and the balance point is at 14 1/4". Sorry for the technical explanation, just thought maybe someone might up to the task of helping me sort this out. Thanks again--

I would drop the coller and maybe the wrap. That should put you in the ball park . As it is, by your mesurements, you are 7.6% FOC
