iTunes Question

When I first purchased my iPhone, my son synced it to our mac and put alot of music on it. Since then I have purchased quite a bit via the phone and my iTunes account. I have also uploaded a few cds to my mac that I would like to have on my phone.

Here's my question, If I sync my phone to the mac, will I loose the songs I purchased on my phone?

No, you can keep them all...you gotta make sure you check the appropriate boxes

when you plug your phone into the computer and itunes opens, there will even be a list on the left hand side that shows "songs purchased on {whatever you named your iphone}"

the songs purchased on the phone will migrate over to itunes and everything will be there. choose what music you want to sync and you are good to go.

As long as everything was bought on the same iTunes account you'll be good.

As I understood it you still needed to "trasfer purchases"
from your phone to your computer when you plug it in - click on your phone in the left column - right click, transfer purchases.

If you have several iPhones and/or iPods on the same account it will update whatever is new on all synced for the first time. If that makes since.

I have bought albums (old school term ) from Itunes and loaded my own albums into Itunes and have them all on my Iphone.
