    SCT on my F-250 WOW!!!!!

Bought my truck new in 06, just now put a programer on it. I got the SCT X3 with the extreme street tune. HOLY SHUT THE FRONT DOOR, big difference! They say, better fuel economy.....I'm sure it does, but not with my foot in it

I put the banks 6gun on my 2005 when I had it...it was balls to the walls, just be careful not to blow it up! lol

And even while ragging the dog s*** out of it, I still got decent mileage...I'm sure you'll get same results!

Been looking one to put on mine, but with only 17k miles, didn't know what Ford would do about my warranty.

Be careful not to blow your transmission up.

Get an EGT gauge before you start melting turbos on that thing.

Also start watching for head gasket problems. Open your hood.....see all that white residue around the coolant tank? Thats not good.

            void it

do not do it until after your warranty, thats my advice . . . . guys will promise they can erase the tracks but if Ford finds out warranty is gone. Period no questions asked.

Please put some guages on that truck. Your lead foot can cause big problems. When towing, I always drive by my EGT guage. (exhaust gas temperature) anything over 1250 deg. , meltdown can occur.

Been there and done that, you will have major issues if you don't get your foot out of it or upgrade, exhaust, air intake, guages, tranny (thats the big one) thats a lot of money right there.....

Watch out. Those 6.0"s cant take a whole lot.

I have a 2004 6.0 and i put a banks six gun in it at about 10,000 miles and switched to the SCT programmer a couple years ago. If you gonna keep you foot in it i would get 4in exaust and a intake. Thats what i have on mine and if i havent blew it up or melted a turbo yet i dont think anyone else will. I have a 150,000 on my truck now and have never had a problem with the tranny. Oh yeah and with the sct my truck tops out a 133mph!

I just put the sct on mine yesterday with the "panty dropper" tune from Truck Source Diesel here in San Antonio, wow! There are all kinds of different custom tunes for the sct out there. I know a couple of people who have played with alot of them. Ive got a full 5 inch exhuast, intake, and im having gauges put it this wed. Next is head studs.

                      x2 on listening to quad

I've been wanting to get a programmer for my '06. I've heard that the increase in power is unreal. And, better fuel mileage can't hurt.

Don't be counting on great gains on fuel mileage. The power gain will be great.
A larger exhaust, cold air intake, guages and a tuner will make it run like crazy. Just keep your foot out of it and your mpg may increase.

I have a full 4" exhaust, turbo back, pyro, trans temp and boost guages. All I need is the pyro exhaust probe and I'm in business. Thanks guys, I know all about this, I've done my homework. I'm gonna turn it down to the street tune when the new wears off. Still haven't ran WOT yet, don't plan on it.
