A friend of mine is taking me hunting on his family land in Missouri but the only time we could both go was in the end of September. Has anyone ever hunted in Southern Missouri around this time? I was just wondering what to expect.

I have hunted early october out there. Where are you going to be up there. I hunt near Theodosia and also near Winona. Expect it to be warm still. -

You just never know. I really like the area no matter what part of the season. New scenery, seems like a good amount of game. I just don't know. If you can move your trip a few days in either direction watch the 10 day forecasts and try and get up there when cool front comes in. That would probably help the most that part of the season. Turkey may already be open then also. I am not sure as I don't hunt turkey.Comment
