    Happy Fathers Day!!!

    Happy Fathers Day!!!!

I am fortunate that I have a son that makes everyday Fathers Day. And...my daughter is maturing and getting it too.

My father has passed but I have the memories of a lifetime. I can still hear him saying. "don't but me anything". But we always did and he wore those house shoes every morning. It was a tradition.

I miss him and I do not take the days with my kids for granted. One of lifes lessons as you age.

Be safe on this great day!!!!

What a great day! Pancakes for breakfast.

Followed by a long talk with my Dad.

and Momma told the little one exactly which Ipod I wanted.

I am officially "hip" now (or am I cool????)

Well, it's been a tough one. Worked today in Maryland but got calls and cards from my beautiful children.
Being raised by my Mom, and having her pass away last November, this has been a difficult day. But a good day also. She was my Mother and Father. Greatest person I ever knew...
Good bless all Dads and Moms who did their part!!
Boo Yah to all that are Dads, or have kids, or have Dads!!
I guess that takes care of all of you...
                Peace my brothers and sisters.

The way Father's Day gets planned around here:

Daughter: "Hey, Mom.....you reckon if I came out for Father's Day, Dad could fix BBQ?'

Mom: "Sure, He'll be glad to! Plan on it and I'll call your brothers and tell them and their families to come."

Mom: "Hey, Hunny, all the kids are coming for Father's Day. You need to fix BBQ."

                  Dad: "OK".

And I even do the dishes! And I love every minute of it. I am truly blessed.

We had a complete family gathering for my dad's last Father's Day. I had barbecue for for my mom, dad, aunt, grandmother, all 5 siblings and their kids. My dad has terminal cancer and won't be around much longer. It was a very emotional day with lots of crying and hugging and talking. There were 32 people in my house. My dad seemed to enjoy it even though he's in a lot of pain. He gave an awesome gift to each of his children today, always thinking of others.

On a brighter note, my wife and kids got me a Bushnell Yardage Pro Scout rangefinder and some Simmons Landsharks broadheads. Yippee!

Very sorry to hear of your father's illness. Next Father's Day you will have some really fond memories of this Father's Day. Well done!
