Lambshead Ranch

I have already had the chance to speak with a few of you regarding the Lambshead ranch, but I wanted to see who else hunts or has hunted the ranch in the past. In my ongoing, extensive, never-ending search for a quality lease I have come across an opportunity to lease on the Lambshead. I just wanted to hear from you guys about the nuisances of hunting out there. I know that they should have a good number of quality deer. But are there issues, with oil traffic, ranchers, etc that interfere with the hunting. Id love to hear as much as you are willing to share. Feel free to PM with any info.

Lambshead Ranch

Hey Bret. Glad to hear you might have found a lease out our way. Never hunted the Lambshead but it's not to far away. I have heard good things about the ranch. As long as they are running a decent management program and letting the deer get old enough you should see some great bucks. We have a fair amout of oil traffic but deer seem very used to it and doesn't seem to have much impact. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks fanatic. I'm excited about it. I'm going to try and get out there asap to take a look at. I hate that it is so late in the year. I had my sights set on a place near Childress, put it may be hard to pass on this. I may be needing another hunter or 2.

It is a very good ranch hunted on it for 4 years on the wo pasture wich butted up to the nail and the butterfirld pasture and it was good lots and lots of deer it was not uncommon to see 20 deer a setting and also killed my biggest buck ever there a 141 and my uncle killed a 143 and the deer don't mind the oil traffic at all

Now we hunt just on the other side of the river for the past 2 years and it's good and have some great pics this year
