Got the panels up a few days ago. The hogs were killing me, I hope it works. Anxious to check it out tomm. and see for sure. I have a pic. with about 60 pigs, then a second group of about 20 piglets. They emptied a feeder in about an hour by bumping it. One was even "climbing" one of the legs to shake it! I hunt them as much as I can but I can't even begin to put a dent in the pop.. I wish I could invite some of you to help me out, but landowner didn't like the idea, knew he wouldn't! I spent more than I wanted to, but it will be better off in the long run, I feed protein and spincast w/ corn/nuggs. Now hopefully the deer will get more of it.

Should have put a gate in the fence and trap them. -
You need to turn that feed pen into a trap for a while and kill every pig in it....just put you a door on it for a while then take it down when you get your numbers down...Comment

built one in feb. around my protein feeder 5 panels 16 t post 6 months later and no hog problem just lots of pictures of deer in pen with hogs on outside tryin to figure out how deer got in.best money i ever spent. hope you made it round i think that is the key to it .hogs have not even tried to root under pen and even if they did i took a 20 ft piece of rebar and cut 20 1ft stakes shaped like candy canes that i staked all the way around the bottem of the pen to try and stop them just in case. good luck hope it worked for u.Comment

Good idea, actually have a trap that I could use off one side to let them in. I'm just not sure if it would add more pressure to the deer with me going over there more and of course firing a rifle repeatedly etc. It may not hurt if i just did it a time or two, they would probably quit coming in for awhile anyway. checked cam. today. No action, including deer. Will it take awhile before they get comfortable jumping in? It's only 34" tall. It's been set up for 3 days now, is this common, they were going to feeder everyday, hope I didn't screw up!Comment

sorry took so long to reply been on vacation . when i putt my panels up i bought 4 cow and 1 hog panel so fawns could jump in with the big fellas.also activity has and will slow down due to the amount of rain and vegatation that they have to eat butt dont worry they will find and eat that protien and you will start seeing the results i sure have . come on oct. 1Comment
