Labs are the best

Unless you are duck hunting...they don't even compare to a quality GSD. The top breed in the world. I wasn't gonna say anything to get all you lab boys riled up but the other people did....there is no breed in the world as versatile as the GSD. They can do everything a lab can(and then some) and also have the protect/guard instinct of a Rottwieler. Far more intelligent than both.

I like labs....if I ever owned a non-GSD, it might be a lab.

I don't know anything about GSD's and I will admit to being extremely biased towards labs (mine are in my avatar). I also wouldn't even think to compare them to the level of Rott's, BUT I would LOVE for someone not welcomed at the house to come in uninvited and see what my 105 lb YLM has to say about the situation. I've had him in the back of the truck and when the wrong people just luck at us he starts his deep low growl and has a pretty serious death glare.

And hes the nice one compared to the 65 lb runt of his sister!

My 9 month old lab female Avery, of all the labs I've owned she has the purest heart. And has proven her self as an effective early warning system for trespassers. She loves her daily 3 mile walks with me and loves my family unconditionally. We will hunt together for the first time this fall.

I will agree with you that beagles have more personality than a lab. But my take is evey lab I have met has loved people, while most beagles I have met tolerate people!

Tomato or tomato'! I prefer to feed 30 pounds more than 80+ pounds!!! And nothing like watching there nose in action........gotta love a hound!!!
