    Hunter Ed Course

Although I am old enough that I am not required to take Hunter Ed, my brother in law has to take the course. My oldest son is 11 and old enough to go, so I thought we would all go together.

I have seen some "announcements" here before, does anyone know of a class going on sometime in August in the western DFW range? How long is the course? 1 day, 2 day? What is covered and what "stuff" will we need to provide? We're trying to figure out how much time we will need to set aside for the course.

    Thanks!

When I took the class I did an online test and a one day field course. The one day course was from 8-5 (or something like that) that took the entire day.

Here is a link to TPWD with the different course options and a schedule of courses this summer

My course was two days I think it was four hrs a day or something like that, its really pretty easy and mostly common sense, my wife took it with me and she had never shot a gun or been hunting and she passed.
