Bulk camera buy ... questions

Was wondering (and did not want to clutter the other thread) what the trail camera they are buying in bulk straight from China for 150 each would cost if bought here from say Academy or off the internet.

Also curious if it would be possible to get an order in for a cheaper trail camera. I do not care for super high quality pics..I just want a user easy camera that works. I would like to own 3-5 cameras and some would be used on public lands with a high possibility of being stolen. So was assuming those for 150 are a great deal...and it would be great to get a good camera normally around 90-120 for cheaper.

Anyone look into this already?

I just saw one that is a little behind the one in the bulk buy for $200.

So for a better/more feature cam, $150 is sounding pretty good to me.

The great thing about the group buy cameras is that it is about the size of your hand where other cameras are about the size of your head. Something smaller will be harder to see and easier to hide on public land. Also, it will be easier to carry them in a bag than other cameras.

Also, the cameras we are getting in the order will hold a 16gb card and are suppose to last like 6 months on 8 AA batteries which means you can leave the cameras out longer without a big battery pack and solar charger that draw attention to them.

I bought two of the new Bushnell TC 8mp that is the basically the same camera for $175.00 each and that included shipping.

On the last purchase the cams cost about 130.00 for a camera I previously paid over 200.00 for, and that was the best price I had found. We ended up getting a newer, updated version that should have cost more.

So it is a pretty great deal if you want a high end camera.

Would they do the same type deal on a middle end camera? Say selling us one that would cost us 120-130 online for say 80ish ?

you can go buy "cheap" cameras everyday for $50 to $90 at any store. I dont see the benifit of saving only 10 or 20 bones with all the trouble TX Hombre is going through for us. He is not making a profit and is taking on a MAJOR project just to help fellow TBHers out.
