Adaptive Equipment!

For one of my classes this summer, We have to make a piece of equipment for an adapted physical education class! It really gets you thinking about what the kids have to go through! I've never had to worry about not being able to see the ball, or not being able to kick the ball

So I got to thinking about what to make! This is supposed to be low budget equipment.

I went into the garage and found a plastic bat and ball! Put some tape on the "sweet spot" of the bat and taped the ball yellow..

Have anyone had to do something like this? IT gives a great deal of respect to people who deal with adapted kids everyday! I now know what I can do with the adapted students at work!

I made a prototype mechanicle release that is held in your mouth. It was for people with one arm so they could shoot a bow without having to bite on nylon webbing. It worked, but I never made a finished final product.
