BIG BUCK sighting in LimeStone County! NICE!

My wife and I were filling feeders this afternoon and I saw a buck on a tree line at about 300 yards. I could see head bone from that distance with bare eye! Got the binos out and we got to watch him for about 5 minutes. Each taking turns with the binos. I've been hunting here, in Limestone, for 8-9 years now and this buck far surpassed any deer we have seen yet! Honestly I had no idea bucks grew this big around here... Of coarse we didn't have a cam with us so this probably "didn't happen" but it did!
After taking away for velvet I put him right at 155". Give or take about 10". He was about average on mass but he had about a 19"-20" spread. All my wife kept saying was "look how wide he is!" Around 12" G2's! Really tall rack! All I kept saying was "Look how tall he is!". lol His right G2 had about a 6" fork and the rest of his tines looked to be "clean". Even his G3's were in the 9"-10" range.
Anyway, I just wanted to post about it cause it made me SO happy to see a deer of this caliber in my part of the country! I almost shed a tear. lol
Keep in mind I do know to some of you this is not such a special deer but when you go 9 years or so seeing nothing over 120"s this is a big deal. Needless to say bow season can't come fast enough!!!

I looked through tons of internet pics and this is the closest pic I could find of a buck like him. I know I know, pretty lame to post about it and not have a pic but I'm just pumped! Thanks for reading!

I find it particularly interesting that he's that much bigger than anything you;ve seen in 8-9 years. Just wondering what might account for that.

Almost all the deer where I hunt (Lee County) are scrubs. But several years ago an acquaintance shot a really nice buck on the same property - a good 30 pts. better than anything I've seen in the same neighborhood.

              Just wonderin'.....

Could be age, could be all the plots finally kicking in, who knows.

Two cams on trials in that area. No since in putting the cams on feeders for this guy...

That will make it easier to sit in a stand all day. Pack a big lunch. I saws my biggest buck I ever walk right by my stand. Only problem is I was on the road about a hundred yds away on the way back from lunch.
