    Limbdriver by Vapor Trail

I got my Limbdriver Rest in the mail yeaterday and installed it this morning......I was VERY SKEPTICAL about how it would perform. I was told everything from "you'll love it" to "you can trust me it is awesome" (trust Dave? yeah right! ) Needless to say....WOW! Anit it is much quieter than my dropzone was and easy to install! Vapor Trail - Thumbs up on a great rest!

Please note, the knot you see tied in the nylon cord is not typical...I burnt it in half the first time and now have to find some more cord

Here's a link to replacement string material for your VT, also makes great string loops.

Hmm, the whole link didn't show up. ??? Let me try it again. If it doesn't, it's made by Brownell. You can go to Lancasters web page and do a search for Brownell string loop material and you'll see it.

So, is this contraption spring loaded to come up ... when you draw, you release the hold and the rest comes to it "neutral" position ... then you release and the cord "pulls" it down?

Just tryin' to figure this thing out ... it's backasswards from the rest of the rests!

                    You got it Taxi.
The rest is in the down position until the bow is drawn. When the string is released the top limb of the bow is used to power the rest out of the way which provides a faster drop time which allows you to adjust the rest to stay in contact with the arrow longer yet still drop fast enough to clear the fletching.

I like the concept but don't like the extra string to snag on stuff as I am pulling my bow up into a tree.

This is the first report I have read commenting on how quite it is. That alone may be enough reason for me to get one because nothing I have done has helped my Drop Zone.

I was worried about snagging it too, but it's been a non-issue for myself and many others. Heck if someone comes up and cuts it with a knife, you can be back up and running(assuming you have spare string on hand) in a matter of minutes without effecting the tune of the bow. It is quite as others have said. You just need to put something on the riser for the rest to hit. I use velcro, the fuzzy side.

Hey Matt, I emailed you on your Orion's email address.

Taxi, trust me you'll love it!!!!!!

One other thing I did was cut my "V" down alot. But this is b/c I shoot FOBs.

Got it tuned in after I shot with Kdub earlier today and man does this rest tighten your pin gap. The only way I think that it does this is b/c the arrow stays on the launcher for a longer period of time compared to other dropaways.

So I'm assuming you have to buy an aftermarket "hold" to keep the arrow on the rest when not drawn?

                            BTW Rob.......your bow looks slow.....

They come with one, but I dont use them..never have.

Wanna put "pinks" on yours against mine at the same draw, arrow, lb?????

                              Didnt think so!
