Where do you get your ammo?

Just curious...picked up a new toy today and took it to the range to put a few down the pipe. Had a bit of sticker shock (~$27.00 for 50, off brand .45ACP), but maybe that was just "range" pricing...they do have a captive audience. Maybe this is the going rate? Maybe that is a good price? Anywho...where do you get you ammo? Or should I say, where have you found the best price on ammo that is in stock? Thanks in advance.

problem with ammo to go, is its in state, you pay sales tax on it.

$27 a box for range ammo is way out of line. Go to Walmart or order online at places like palmetto state armory and such. Last time I looked range ammo at Walmart was around $16 for 50. But I load my own now.

Palmettostatearmory.com no doubt, I get all of the fun stuff from ammunitiontogo.com out of Brenham. I try to buy out of state to save on tax. I also check aimsurplus.com as well.

Buying bullets at an academy, Cabelas, gun store is generally way over priced.

I know you said #4 buck but I picked up a case of the Winchester military grade 00 buck at Cabelas for $3.99 per 5 rounds.
