I have a 50" Troy Built Mustang that I love. I bought it from Lowes and it works great on my very steep hill. I do wish it had brakes sometimes.

Scag, Gravely, ExMark, Toro Commercial are all good mowers. Only drawback to ztr's is that you cannot hook up a trailer or any other implements as you can with a tractor type mower.

Husqvarna here. Love it, but only bought it because it was a steal.

I have a 2007 model 52 inch cub cadet with 23 hp kawasaki. that I have had for 2 mowing seasons going on 3 now. It has low hours on it, and I have recently gone through a divorce and need to sell it at the end of this season. I bought it for 3200, but would be willing to make a heck of a deal on it toward the end of the summer. I have to hang on to it till summer is over and my wife moves out of the house. It is garage kept and I love it, but do not have a big enough yard for it any more. E-mail me if you might be interested. Thanks David

I pull a large trailer and a fertilizer spread behind my. Works great. You ever own a ztr you will never be satisfied with a tractor type again.

jackh I drove the Lands Pride mower yesterday when I dropped my mower off for Red to service and it is sweet. Depends on what you got to mow. I been using a 36" 96 model Dixon for a long time with no problems. Any time I have a big job I borrow a 60" Bad Boy ZTR from my son. IMO a 36" ZTR will out mow the biggest tractor driven mower they make in an average yard with lots of obstacles.

I've got the Grasshopper 223 with a 61" deck. I love it, if it will run over it I will mow it down. I've got 90 hours on it and not one problem as of yet. Knock on wood. My cousin has the same mower with 500 hours on it and no problems on his as of yet either.

I would think that zero turn would be more idea if you actually have more grass than rocks. In the hill country like at your deer lease, wouldn't you prefer a regular tractor?

There was a thread a month ago that had lots of good information regarding zero turn mowers.

I have the same mower. They are tough. I mow the yard, and bow range with mine.

Hustler here. Agree - once you go ZTR you'll never go back.
