wow...he's a really nice deer with great beam length and mass but I sure can't see 174 with no brow tines.

Well..his sheds scored right at 150" without spread credit, and I had him at 22" inside.... We all, at the ranch, had him at 6.5 at the oldest..

I cant see that deer busting 160 without brows and I tried giving him more than he has and only got 161 then!
Unless he has over 27 inch main beams and wider than 22 inches, not having brows really hurts his score.I gave him 11 inch g3's and 7 inch g2's.That one side is weaker than the other not having a g5 and the mainbeam looks shorter allso.I have a hard time with the age of a deer from pics but you put him in front of me alive and I will get real close! He has the frame of a 170 class deer but the little things that are missing hurt his score.I'm not a great scorer on wide deer because I dont see very many of them around here.It looks like he did grow brows but broke off most of them.If it were my ranch I would let him go another year givin his age and I bet he becomes a HUGE deer!

I would like to see what I missed because I was way OFF.
I still cant see it,maybe I'm starting to loose it?
He is a hell of a deer!

KingsX - the pics don't do this deer justice.. I had this deer as close as 20 yds for two hrs.. I struggled with getting him to 6.5. He could be 5.5. I have done of video on him. I would share, but it isn't digital video.. We did let that deer go another year, and due to drought he didn't get any bigger, so he is still walking.. We hope that he pushes 180" this year. I know you are saying that would put him at 8 1/2. Well we watched a deer go from 175"ish at 5 1/2 to 195" at 7 1/2... They have plenty of groceries to eat, and the ranch is in Maverick Cty. I have held the sheds in my hand. I scored them personally.

OK..Here are the only other pics I have of him.. You should have seen this guy right before the rut.. He was huge.. We consistently kill mature bucks between 200 - 230 lbs during the rut..

He doesn't look mature, but post rut is one of the hardest periods to judge. Looks 5 1/2 in those pics to me. I gave him 107 down and 59 up. 166.

The deer has too much loose skin under his jaws not to be 6.5, and I still put him over 170.
